STEEP TURNPIKE YOUTH THEATRE
ANY QUESTIONS?
YOUR QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUTH THEATRE
My friends want to come but I don't want to. Can I come and watch?
No! Come and join in, or meet up with your friends afterwards. Once a term we will have a session where we share some of the stuff we've been working on. Come and watch then . . . It might even make you feel you want to join the next term.
Who is Youth Theatre for?
Are you year 7 age — or above?
Do you enjoy Drama?
Can you work as part of a team?
Do you like to have fun?
Then Youth Theatre is for you!
I'm in year 9 and my friend is in Year 10. Can I join the older group?
Possibly, if you are mature enough. But we can't say a definite yes or no until we have met you and seen what your skills and attitude are like.
If I hate it, can I leave?
You will need to stay for the full session, but you won't have to come again if you don't want to. But we think you'll probably enjoy yourself at Youth Theatre!
Do I have to believe in God to come to the Youth Theatre?
No, but you need to understand that this is a Youth Theatre run by Christians and there are likely to be Christians in the group so you will need to respect their points of view.
Am I going to have to come to church on a Sunday if I join Youth Theatre?
Not usually. Occasionally Youth Theatre might perform something in a service so we will ask you to come then, and you will be welcome to join us any Sunday you like, but you don't HAVE to!
I have difficulty reading. Can I still join?
Of course you can. But let us know when you arrive, or email us beforehand so that we don't embarrass you by giving you large chunks of stuff to read aloud. A lot of stuff we do at Youth Theatre will be improvised - so no one will know.
